Beatrice has spent most of her career in Africa – Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria, and Ghana, but has also worked in Central America and Palestine. She has mainly worked on the topics of youth employment as well as promotion of business start-ups and SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in the context of local economic and market systems development. She is currently the project manager for GrEEn, a four year joint project implemented in the Ashanti and Western regions of Ghana by the European Union, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ghana, the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and SNV.
Previously, Beatrice held various consulting positions at the European Commission, GIZ, Adam Smith International, Austrian Development Agency, and most recently as Team Leader with GOPA Consultants on the Nigeria SEDIN (Pro-poor Growth and Promotion of Employment) program, focusing on SMEs and startup development.
Beatrice holds a Ph.D. in Development Economics from the Vienna University of Business and Economics in Austria and a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Münster in Germany.
