March 2019 – August 2019
We supported the Phase 2 of the Pro-Poor Growth and Promotion of Employment in Nigeria (SEDIN) Programme of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) meant to improve the employment and income situation of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) by conducting training needs assessment with 8 partner organizations – PLASMIDA (Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency); AYEAID (African Youth Empowerment in Agriculture and Industrial Development);TIC (Technology Incubation Centre); Lead Resources; FUTMINNA (Federal University of Technology Minna); FUNAAB (Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta); NDE (National Directorate of Employment); and JDPC (Justice Development and Peace Commission) to understand what their expectations are and what some of the key issues are that the teams are facing when it comes to project management, and monitoring and evaluation.
We designed adult learning approach training, developed training materials and handouts based on briefing with SEDIN/GOPA and and the needs/interest expressed by the 4 Start-up Loop partner organisations. Our consultants conducted tailor made organizational development and project management training in Abuja based on adult learning methodologies and participatory approaches.
